Parents sometimes
wonder about giving their child the summer off from Kumon. However, this
can be very detrimental to your child’s success. By the time your
student starts school in the fall, he or she will have forgotten the
material learned in the spring. Therefore, your child will likely have
to back up and re-learn two or more months of material, which is a waste
of time. It’s better to continue Kumon over the summer, even if that
means cutting the workload in half. Some students use the summer to get
ahead by doubling up on the workload. If you are interested in changing
your child’s workload over the summer, please let me know.
